Emerging ring sensation Rey “Boom Boom” Bautista shuns being compared to Filipino ring idol Manny Pacquiao but he was surprised to hear Oscar De La Hoya introduce him as “ a fighter who is considered the next Manny Pacquiao of the Philippines” at the pre-fight news conference for Bautista’s clash with Brazilian super bantamweight champion Giovanni Andrade on Sunday.

There is only 1 Manny Pacquiao. He is known for the way he fights, his wins, and his personality.

Even though Ray has 20 something fights already, he is still young. But he has better boxing skills than Pac.

lmao thats messed up man...i dont think he is comparing styles just saying boom boom can be the next multi million dollar boxing star from the PI.

But i agree Boom Boom has great skills and he also showed he has heart i saw him on telefutura and he got floored but got back up to beat the guy up...shows he isnt a dud like a couple other prospects from the PI like jaca, and suico, and donaire.

I like boom boom more to tito trinidad as far as styles go.

Well, I wouldn't be insulted. But I think Rey knows within that he has the better all around skills. However, Manny's best arsenal : speed and power, compensates where he lacks.
