    Did Jaca quit ?

I didnt get to watch the JMM vs JIMREX JACA fight until yesterday nights reply and found myself watching a very close and competitive fight until the 9th round when Jaca got floored by a left hook. He seemed hurt but able to get up ? It just looked like he made no effort to try and get up. Obviously , JMM was coming on strong but Jaca IMO could have gotten up at least one time and give it another go.

How do you rate Marquez's performance ? he looked slow at times but seems the perfect opponent for Manny Pac.

No I think Jaca was genuinely hurt and dazed more than anything by that shot. He really had taken a lot of shots in hard combinations from Marquez throughout, and he seemed tired from perhaps the 3rd or fourth onwards.

That hooks caught him nice and high on the temple which can really affect a fighter's equilibrium, and even vision if hit hard enough, and with the chaos going on around him, it probably took him much longer to get back his bearings.

I really like Marquezs accuracy and will.

I kinda was wondering if Jaca quit or was just dazed. Unless you were him, you will never know.

To me he looked like he quit. Nothing wrong with that though , Marquez would have floored him again for good. I was just wondering.

Jaca gave a better fight than both Chris John and Terdsak Jandaeng did. He showed quick hands and feet, and kept on bugging Marquez with that pesky right jab and short left uppercut. He mixed in boxing and counterpunching, he traded leather that made for an entertaining fight. Marquez had a hard time getting his rhythm going, he was missing a lot of shots in the 1st half of the fight. But, J.M.Marquez combination counterpunching was just too much for Jaca. Everytime he threw a 1-2, Marquez would always counter with 3-4-5 punch combos. He must've thought that he's way behind on points, and doesn't have the KO power to stop Marquez anyways. So, he lives to fight another day.

Basically... He used the Pacman blueprint.

hmmm Jaca boxed and countered. He showed an educated jab, short uppercut and left hook counter. Pacquiao was so 1-dimentional in the Marquez fight, he only had the 1-2, 1-2 pawing 'jab' and southpaw straight, nothing else.

Jaca took some serious punishment before he was down, escpecially in the 8th round. That was his limit and there was nothing he could do about it... Jaca has a decent chin IMO
