I have only seen the movie once, but the story was just Ok, it was Brando that stole the whole movie.
In Rocky, the story was great. Plus, it had that edgy feel. Remember the scene when Rocky is alone in his little **** room and Mickey comes up to say he would train him, but Rocky denies him, giving his speech about how all of a sudden people care about him now that he is given a shot at the Champ, ****ing great scene.
Unlike some of the other movies, the people casted in Rocky had the language down of how people actually talk in everyday blue-collar settings.
I can't believe they wanted Robert Redford for that part, yeah, how believable that would be.

I totally agree that scene was the best scene ever in any rocky movie...especially the part about his locker, one day no locker next day I want to train you...!I have only seen the movie once, but the story was just Ok, it was Brando that stole the whole movie.

Both movies are great, Rocky is more of a boxing movie then On The Waterfront, but if I have to pick which movie is better I will go with On The Waterfront.I have only seen the movie once, but the story was just Ok, it was Brando that stole the whole movie.

BTW Rocky and Rocky II were great, after Rocky 2 the movies start sucking, Rocky 3 is pretty funny with Hogan and Mr.T but still not a great movie.Comment
