    JMM versus Guzman

What about this match up?This scenario may be in the realm of possibility later in year 2007.Either way, I think JMM moves up to SF division. If cant get a rematch with PAC, he is being pencilled to take on MAB.Guzman has a similar fight date in March 2007.Assuming both of them win, they could face off for a unification bout sometime in August or September.

Who do you guys think will win?I think it will be close as both are extremely skilled, but I may be leaning towards a JMM UD. ;P

I'd puck Guzman by UD, possibly dropping Marquez a few times too.

i don't think that a fight between JMM and Guzman would be good all, i think it would be more of a chess match. although guzman fought well against barrios, barrios made it easy for him because he was in front of guzman the whole fight plodding forward. JMM is a highly skilled boxer and guzman is a skilled boxer who likes to use all of the ring and has the ass half way out the ring defense style, guzman bends over at the waist and sticks his ass out as he back pedels and fights/defends. not very exciting and not all that fun to watch, and i like defense more that anything, but to me guzman and malignaggi have the same defense style, bend and run..............

style wise i don't think this is the best match up for either guy, they should wait and fight each other when they absolutely have too, when there are no more options then they should fight, but right now there are better fights to be made for the two combatants...............

I like Guzman in this matchup. Skill wise, he's right there with JMM but more naturally talented. He can slug, box, & has good defense. He also punches to the body pretty well & has very good hand speed. To me he does everything JMM does but just better & more aggressive.

This is a tough one because Guzman has been known to come forward and swing for the fences in every round and he's also known to sit back and be content just counterpunching. Marquez has always been a counterpuncher but he showed he can come forward with power against Terdsak and Jaca.

This could very well be a chess match (read: a boring fight). I doubt that they'd both come out looking to KO the other guy because they'd both be looking to win even if they don't look so impressive just to have the other guy's name on their resume.

In a battle of counterpunchers, I'd favor the older, more experienced Marquez. In a fight where Guzman comes forward and brings the fight to Marquez, I'd favor the faster hands and powerful punches of the younger Guzman.

A pick-em fight, as far as I'm concerned.

                Marquez by DQ

Marquez gets turned on by Guzman's body and pops a boner. Guzman punches him in the *** and KOs him. Guzman is disqualified.

Marquez states in the post fight conference that he actually liked it.

lmao just playing. Guzman wins by UD but its a tough fight to call.
