Valero will NOT knock out Pacquiao; not even close.

Are people serious with this Valero kid?

Pacquiao has his limitations but Valero has NOTHING but a punch. And who has he knocked out except Mosquera?

In perspective, this is not to degrade Valero at all; if he beats Pacquiao, then great, but to even suggest him at this point when he has no semblance of technique or defense strikes me as very premature.

He's most effective when teeing off, and even then a lot of his shots are wide, wild, and often lunging punches that leave him wide open to counters.

Pacquiao is much more organized in comparison. He has constant lateral movement and has much more direction about his work in terms of landing and being set to land or be defensive if necessary.

Valero is exciting, but I just don't see how he he'd beat Pacquiao without landing some lucky ****.

Valero wouldn't beat Marquez if he had a ten round headstart.

Agreed.Saw some of the Valero fights and now way can he compete with PAC at this stages of their careers.Pac is just too fast and too strong. This fight will indeed last 1 round. But it will be Edwin who will be on the canvass.

Funny thing is, Valero's style is very similar to a pre-Roach Pacman. All out offense without any care about technique or style.

Would rather have PAC fight JMM or Guzman.Only these 2 fighters have a decent shot to defeat Manny.MAB would be a brutal mismatch as well as Valero.

from the last bit of tape i've seen on valero compared to manny's last few fights, valero is dead in the water. valero does have a punchers chance, but skill wise he is asking for a beating.

chin up in the air when he throws, squared shoulders coming in, walking in without a jab, taking one sometimes two to get one, poor defense, hand held low, he pulls straight back, the list goes on, Pacquiao will eat dude alive.

valeros does have a punchers chance, he has strong enough power to change things in a fight, but unless it's a one punch KO or Pac can't defend himself after getting hit, but i don't see that happening....................

      Pac by 1st round KO..............

Back when Valero was training here in L.A., he was a much different fighter. He had his power, but he could box someone's ears off if he had to and he was a great counterpuncher. If he goes back to those roots, I could definetely see him beating Pac. He turned into this brawling KO artist when his Japanese promoter started giving him a bonus for each first round KO.

Even if Valero just tried to brawl with Pac, you have to realize Valero is the first true jr. lightweight Pac will have faced. Can Pac's power have the same effect against this kid that it did against Morales? Can Pac handle legit 130-pound KO power?

I agree. In that sparring vid against Morales he was a great boxer. The trip of his power is taking over.

Some of you forget power changes the way a fight is going down. Valero is a smart fighter when he wants to be, he has skills to box and we know he can ****, he'll give pacquioa hell, Valero is a better boxer and hits harder.

There is a reason Pac's fans don't want him to fight Valero...

I think Manny said it best, Does this kid really want me already? I'd see this as a slaughtering. Valero is no where ready for Manny. It sounds like a great match on paper though I see it as a mismatch. Freddy and Manny do their homework before every fight. They'll expose every single mistake Valero makes at his early stage of his career that he'll never wanna fight again after that.

Who then should they question if hes ready for pacquioa other then their worried about Valero? pacquioa is turning out to be just like floyd mayweather and hes with Arum too. You know, Arum tell his fighter to fight this guy, then his fighter wants out of his contract sort of what pacquioa and company are trying to do.
