    aint that the truth!

people are fickle alot of these people saying good stuff about pep on tv only would go to his funeral if it would give them some publicity and its sad...alot of these so called boxing analysts i dont wanna say their names but they only attend the big fights and they dont even follow the prospects! well i dont know if their are alot but i think you know who i am talking about...the guy has been around boxing a long time and he only attends big fights now and when asked about certain up and comers he had no clue...

I am sure SOME people in the game would only go to more high profile funerals. I think with Pep, though, no matter what, there were many people that didnt go..that SHOULD HAVE

              Sad ****.

A lot of people in boxing know De La Hoya or at least have met him.

I expect Pep was before the time of a lot of modern boxing people. They might feel awkward showing up to the funeral of someone if they've never met him.

I will not however forget that the boxing community well very much underrepresented. Myself and Marlon Starling were the only two pro fighters that came to the funeral today and the only other boxing people there today were two former local amateurs from here in Hartford. Bob Yalen came to the wake last night. Where were all the New York Boxing People, though??? Where was Bert Sugar, Al Certo, and Mex Kellerman, etc etc etc. All the former champions that live within driving distance from here??

Maybe because most of these people where more of business thing and boxing thing and was never connected to him as a person.

As for De La Hayo passed away i think some people will come because he is a many with a lot of money and controls GBP which promots many boxers.
