Joe Louis is my favorite fighter so I will remain positive and just make a wish they do well.

Oliver Stone messed up Alexander the Great, the guy should be hung...Val Kilmer did a great job, Colin could of toned down the acting a bit, they should of never hired Jared Lito, and some other big changes I would of made.

I think Cuba has a youthful look to him, and remember the film touches on Louis's later life as well so you don't want an actor who's too young and can't look a convincing 50 something. I really think Cuba Gooding Jr. would be great and he was my pick back way back when they were throwing around the idea of Vin Diesel *shudder* playing the part.

Who knows, maybe if they search hard enough they could get a good actor that resembles Joe.

No, Abe is right. Whoever they get, it's more important that they can act than they actually resemble Joe.

Terrence Howard is a great actor. Hes finally been getting leading rolls recently and he deserves them. He would be a great choice.

Im still upset about Ali. I thought it was poorly done. I still say they need to do a Tyson movie with Jamie Foxx as the actor. He said he would do it too.

Cuba is a good enough actor for the part, looks somewhat like Louis, but I checked IMDB and he's only 5'10". For some reason I always thought he was about 6' or 6'1". Terrence Howard actually is close to the right size at about 6'2". That seems like a petty thing, but it's signficant. Also athleticism is important. The guy has to look fast and be able to hit the bag with some kind of impact.
