Cotto 150 Quintana 152.75 a week before fight

See my sig for the picture. Cotto is looking good and he's only 3 pounds from the weight a week beforehand. I expect Cotto to look really good next Saturday night.

Quintana is a lefty with good footwork so I don't expect Cotto's left hook to be there until mid-way through the fight when the straight right and the body work will eventually set up the left hook. Quintana will move and look to box with Cotto after he feels what Cotto brings to the table powerwise.

It should be a good fight between a powerful orthodox fighter and a boxer-puncher southpaw with decent pop.

Cotto will still land that left hook to the body. Watch and see.

Unbeaten former WBO junior welterweight champion Miguel Cotto has arrived in New York City for his upcoming welterweight title fight against top contender Carlos Quintana for the vacant WBA world welterweight championship to be held on Saturday at the historic Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ. The bout will be on the big SHOWTIME-televised double world title card promoted by Top Rank in association with Caesars Atlantic City. Cotto plans to work out later today at the Kingsway Gym.

Dont forget Quintana is a south paw and roles punches very well, might be a bit hard to land his left hook. I think his right hand will do it on this one. I hope Cotto doesnt reinjure his left hand in the fight.

A good lefthook to the body of a southpaw works just as good as the straight right hand and Cotto has a very good lefthook to the body. I expect Cotto to break Quintana's body down and win down the stretch.

Yea i know.. But rememeber when Jorge Barrios landed that left hook to that Nagy dude and mad him quit with that body shot. Im thinking that Cotto could land one of those.. But yea the right hand will be the answer to this southpaw. Cotto will win by KO i see it already. Quintana will decide to fight Cotto on the inside and that's when Cotto lands that hook to the face. Can't wait!
