It makes me laugh how he'd consider it an upset if he beat Maskaev.

I think he'd beat him relatively easily with him going into the fight as the favourite.

If Hopkins beats a big, fat, old man like Maskaev, it will be impressive but hardly unexpected. For the deeds to match the rhetoric he should get in the ring opposite Klitschko. Billy Conn gave Joe Louis a boxing lesson for 12 rounds, but got himself knocked out in the 13th. Hopkins only has to do 12 rounds so let us now see Hopkins take Klitschko to school.

        Didn't see Floyd run?

He obviously didn't see the second Castillo fight.

Maskaev would be a HUGE challenge for him. Maskaev's only real glaring weakness is a chin and I don't think Hopkins has the power to capitalize on it. Hopkins is used to being the stronger man in fights and he is not half as strong as Maskaev.

I do think Maskaev beats Hopkins rather easily. Not neccesarily by knockout, but I think he'll have Hopkins on the canvas at least once.

If Hopkins wins I'll be a lot more surprised than when Jones beat Ruiz. Maskaev isn't as good as Ruiz but then an old Hopkins is not as fast or hard hitting as Jones.

I disagree with Bernard's take on the DLH-Mayweather fight, and I think he should stay retired.

              He was emaciated at middleweight.

Nard in reality should be a cruiserweight, that's the weight to fight at.

I find it interesting that he credits Toney for helping his defense evolve. Imagine if Toney were to beat Peter and Hopkins were to beat Maskaev. A Toney/Hopkins fight would be crazy.
