man that was a fishy ending......1st off what's the deal with cole telling marquez he's ahead in the scorecards.....then is it me or did it seem that jaca suddenly took a dive....i know the combo landed and all but he took harder shots earlier and he seemed like he was ok to continue....i dont maybe its just me.....anyways COLE SHOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED TO REF ANOTHER FIGHT AGAIN!!! he's been a crooked ref for a while and tonight there is no doubt he was in the GBP payroll.........

The ref telling JMM that he's winning the fight was a little strange but Jaca went down with a good punch but he didn't want to get up and risk his career. This fight was not even close in my opinion, JMM was clearly winning the fight.

I found nothing fishy at all. I think he was just calming marquez down b/c marquez seemed to think that the ref was trying to stop the fight and he seemed antsy in the corner. Just like i think max said Jaca didn't know where he was when he was hit and he had been hit with alot of clean shots and was hurt and stunned on 3 seperate ocasions.

I agree.The ref telling Marquez that was ******,but i think he felt bad for Marquez because he got the **** end of the stick on those two headbutts.



As for the final scoring,I thought HBO was being way to nice to Jaca.I disagreed with hbo's card,a shutout for marquez wasnt out of the question.

Dodgy decisions? You are on something. He crushed him. NO matter what the ref says to him the MOST that youcan give Jaca is two rounds and that is being generous.

so because he made a smallest of mistakes, saying something in a language Marquez couldnt even understand, he shouldnt be able to ref again???

And he said that because he was paid to? that was some VERY fair refereeing.

the only hiccup was when he seperated the fighters for no reason, but that wasn't in Marquez's favor...

while JMM was winning, i dont think he was dominating or anything. that was some good spirited action with both fighters really giving their all. A few of the rounds were pretty close.

But Jaca would have been out in the 3rd or 4th round if it wasnt for his granite chin. that kid can take a punch

i can tell by this post that you are not familiar with the referee lawrence cole. here i will copy and paste you a post on another boxing website that explains lawrence and his crook ways.

Just got back in time for round 9. Strange KO ... Your right about Lawrence Cole. He shouldn't even be licensed to ref. What nobody ever mentions is that most of the big fights are insured by Cole's company.

Total conflict of interest ...

Not to mention that he's a crook. Butch Chapman is a fighter & a friend. I worked the opposite corner from his on the undercard of Roy Jones-Clinton Woods in 2002.

Long story short, Butch got his jaw broken in 3 places including his palate bone. He also broke some bones in one of his hands. Anyway they took him to the hospital in an ambulance.

4 years later Butch is still waiting for Cole's company to pay his HUGE hospital bill. His credit got ruined & this has cost him a lot of grief far beyond the injuries themselves.

**** Cole. In his own way he's as bad as Don King.
