They both have great defenses. Although Toney is not as fast as he used to be, he is still great defensively.

Mayweather relies al ot on his reflexes, toney is pure skill.

toney by far. floyd's defensive skills are damn good, but most of his manuevers complement his god given talent. alot of his game still involves those fast jerks in which he moves his head straight back to counter, something that's based on reflexes more than anything. floyd used his feet more and could run circles all night, while toney could stand flat footed right from the get go and be successful. if floyd slowly degraded into a fatass, there's no way he'd be able to do what he does, but toney has been at it for quite sometime.

The topic is about who has the better defense. Just because it takes more skill to fat and flatfooted to have a good defense doesn't mean that you have the best one.Toney's physical condition needs more skill but Floyd has the better defense out of them two...
