Oscar De La Hoya lets Pacquiao off the hook!!!

In a new report out by Rey Danseco in The Manila Times, Danseco reports that Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions has spared Manny Pacquiao from the lawsuit they filed against Top Rank Promotions in Los Angeles.

Danseco reports that out of respect to Pacquiao, Oscar De La Hoya instead wants to talk to Pacquiao, man to man and fighter to fighter to settle the issue.

A representative for Golden Boy Promotions was quoted in the Manila Times, saying: "We are hopeful that Manny
Pacquiao will recognize that he has surrounded himself with individuals which clearly do not have his best interest at heart and will come to the conclusion that the right thing to do is to honor the agreement he has entered with Golden Boy Promotions."

Although not going after Pacquiao in a lawsuit, De La Hoya's company reportedly intends to sue Pacquiao's close associates, Rex "Wakee" Salud ang Michael Koncz as well as his lawyer Franklin Gacal.

The representative for Golden Boy Promotions, added: "We believe that Manny has been ill advised to enter into another agreement. We believe further that Manny’s advisors Michael Koncz and Wakee Salud and his attorney Franklin Gacal have conspired against Golden Boy and induced Manny to breach his agreement. As a result follow up lawsuits against these three individuals are currently being prepared and will be filed shortly.":

if he wanted to be shaddy dont you think he would have just taken pac to court. cus every boxing lawyer is saying if it does oscar would win the case. i guess well just have to see what happens if manny turns oscar down and oscar doesnt sue him..then we can say he is a man of his word. but if he gets all butt hurt n does then we'll know hes shady.

Anyway I'm hoping Manny does sign with Oscar because Oscar has the fighters Manny wants to fight. If he doesn't I don't see Oscar negotiating fights with Arum. I don't think Oscar is a bad guy to work with though..If that was the case his boxers wouldn't keep renewing there contracts with him.
