Bad news for heavyweight fans who were hoping to see unification in 2007. As I can remember, when King controlled all of or part of the titles, he never put his fighters against each other or any other of the beltholders who were non-king fighters.

So, just a few months after seemingly losing all his heavyweight pieces (Byrd, Brewster, Rahman), he's back on top. The guy never quits. At least matchups like Peter-Valuev and Briggs-Peter are much more realistic now, but Wladdy may never get a chance to unify all the belts.
if maskeav loses to peter or toney we can forget about wlad getting a shot at any other belt unless he can get maskeav before peter or toney,,,but that seems less likely now that king is invloved

What I can't understand about Don King is that he can't set his personal ambitions aside and just do the right thing for the sport and let a unification tournament occurr. I mean what else does King need to prove in this sport? He's made hundreds of millions of dollars and proven himself to be the most lasting and reconizable as well as the richest promote ever in the history of the sport.

Don King why not just let what the public wants to see, a heavyweight tournament with all four beltholders no f**cking strings attached?
