Erik Morales wants 1 more Title Fight Before leaving

    From w w w . f i g h t n e w s .com

"As previously reported, ring legend Erik Morales says he wants one more fight in Tijuana, then he plans to retire. However, Morales isn't planning a "goodbye fight" against lesser opposition. "El Terrible" wants to end his career fighting for the WBC lightweight world title in June or July in an attempt to break the Mexican record he shares with Julio Cesar Chavez of winning world titles in three different divisions. "I will not make a goodbye tour," said Morales. "I will only fight for the world lightweight title....then win or lose, I will go away from boxing." "

Morales is going to go out like a true man of the sport if he goes through with this.

I rather he didn't. but if he is he should go after Juan Diaz. I think he'll beat him pretty easy. I think he also does well against the IBF champions. Jesus Chavez (who he already beat) and Julio Diaz. He needs to stay away from Joel Casamayor. I think it'll be a bad match up style wise.

What? Juan Diaz would outwork him all 12 rounds. Maybe if they fought when Morales was unbeatable, then Morales would win.

Diaz doesn't have the power to hurt Morales. He'll be in way over his head. I mean, damn when is that boy going to fight anybody of note?
