    Morales wants one more title!

    Morales wants one more title!

As previously reported, ring legend Erik Morales says he wants one more fight in Tijuana, then he plans to retire. However, Morales isn't planning a "goodbye fight" against lesser opposition. "El Terrible" wants to end his career fighting for the WBC lightweight world title in June or July in an attempt to break the Mexican record he shares with Julio Cesar Chavez of winning world titles in three different divisions. "I will not make a goodbye tour," said Morales. "I will only fight for the world lightweight title....then win or lose, I will go away from boxing."

Joel Casamayor & Morales? He'd get hurt at that weight wouldn't he.

Knowing Morales, thats a very typical reply...Well, why not?Its a good attempt for him.If ever, his last fight would be for the chance to be called as the greatest fighter from Mexico, the only one to win a belt in 4 weight classes. If he loses, he retires with his millions but with his place in the HOF still firmly intact. If he wins, he not only surpasses Barrera, but even JCC's achievement as well...Go Erik!

why ruin his legendary image even more??

He told his fans to stick by him for one last time for the 3rd Pacman fight, he showed courage and determination, made weight, went in strong and got outclassed by a prime Pac.

He goes out now, he has all the respect of the people for goin out fighting against the best P4P.

Great idea for a goodbye fight for morales. Casamayor is just as battle scared as Morales and if he wins it, morales sets himself as the only mexican 4weight champ. this wont be a Slugoutwar but a technical fight that morales has a good shot at winning.

erik is the man! i wish him the best, i don't think that it's the best move but i understand where he's coming from. at least he's not saying that he's going to keep fighting UNTIL he wins a belt, he's just going for one more shot, can't blame him there.

i love morales' attitude dude is a pure fighter. best of luck El Terible!

He's gotta leave the 130lb class! But even 135lb might be too much for him...still hopes he wins tho.
