IT'S A CRIME WHAT HAPPENS OUTSIDE THE RING
Sometimes I feel that people are so much into themselves that they forget they share the planet with others.
This burns me up so much when those that have the means, the money, the fame fall short in helping others because they lack the compassion, and instead are driven by Pride, Envy, Wrath, Gluttony, Lust, Sloth and Greed.
Most Professional Fighters are ********** that come from the poorest slums. They become boxers, but they are already fighters, they choose a sport that they were accustomed too from the mean streets they came from. They continue this fight in and out of the ring, but what happens to these young men who are seeking a share in life, a shot at glory is shameful, disgusting, and criminal. Promoters, and agents eat them alive for their own selfish reasons. They drain the young mans physical life, create more emotional scars, and leave them penniless
These young men suddenly fall back to the streets that almost ate them, and again another battle begins, the battle to survive. Now weaker because of the trauma of the physical, and emotional scars, these young men fall into depression, drugs, and alcohol. But where are the promoters, the agents, and all those who ****** them dry? Even us who watch them as they were brutalize in a sport that they did choose, most with little choice, and did we not enjoyed and loved them then? I say to the Promoters of out there…give these guys who you have broken in so many ways there chance to gain back their dignity.
Give To The Retired Boxers Foundation, like I have. I don’t have the kind of money you have, but I have compassion for my brothers, and sisters. I recently visited with my loving Friend, and founder of the Retired Boxers Foundation, that i have not seen in over 30 years. and I have to admit that I expected to see a man rolling in millions of dollars, but instead I saw, another victim of The boxing world.
The millions he does not have in money he has in spiritual blessings This is a man that dedicates every minute of his life to others.
I love Alex Ramos, I love his compassion, his energy, his honestly, and most of all his spiritual look on life. He feels that his life is a mission, and I promise my brother that I will help him in all I can with the Retired Boxers Foundation. This is why I write to everyone.
