Juarez? That's possible. If Erik can beat him more convincingly that you know who, then that's like a last little shot.

Honestly, I think Morales isnt shot.He just happened to meet a stronger, faster more powerful boxer than himself in PAC.I believe faced with any 130 pounder and Erik would probably win.

      Some scenarios :

Erik vs Valero - Easy UD for Erik.Valero aint got skills.

Erik vs Guzman - Maybe a toss up because of Joan's speed but Guzman can never KO Erik.He hasnt rocked anyone since moving to the SF division.

Erik vs MAB - Always a thriller and toss-up, like all their fights. This fight is very unlikely to happen as we know how their promoters hate each other.

Erik vs Rocky - UD for Erik.If Rocky cant knock down MAB, I dont think he can do it with Erik who has a harder chin.Though Eriks warrior style may make the fight more competitive, El Terrible still has more skillz than Juarez.

Erik vs Humberto - Humberto is pretty solid though I dont think he has the pop to hurt Erik. They were sparring mates so they should know each other well.

Any other prospects for Eriks farewell?I dont think he will take an easy fight. Its just not his style.I believe he will fight a good opponent and go out with guns blazing, thats why I listed some names above. ;p

A fight with Juarez does sound interesting. Both fighters just lost,it's a way for them to show that they still can be great!

Morales isn't "shot", no; but he's past his peak and he's only gonna go downhill from here. This fight was that moment when the truth was made known to him. He'll never be "El Terrible" again.

As far as Juarez is concerned, it would be a great opportunity for Juarez; but for Morales, it would be confirmation that he's still better than most of the pack. So, while he wouldn't be going out "on top", he'd still be going out near the top.

I would actually like to see him with Valero.I think its perfect for the following reasons:

1.)Valero cant fight in the US so he maybe willing to go to Mexico.
2.)Valero is undeated with a belt. Not only does Erik gets to fight a good fighter, he can retire as a champ if he wins.
3.)Valero may have a good relationship with Arum which makes this fight easier to arrange.

I suppose a Juarez fight does have intrigue.I just dont think Erik will appreciate the thought of picking up "MAB's leftovers". Thats why a Valero fight makes more sense for him. ;P

Though if Arum has his way, Valero maybe Pacmans leftovers by that time Erik makes his farewell fight.

                  Yes, indeed.

But Lester does make a good point with Valero as well. Either way, I do hope it will be his last fight.

                    Exactly!

especially after his 3RD KO loss.
He will never be the same...

Erik cannot make the 130 lbs limit in a healthy state, his body just won't do it.
                      he walks around at 160+
