ESPN Classic sucks

I appreciate the fact that they show past fights and it gives me the oppurtunity to get fights I missed on tape. But they seem to only do a halfass job.

First off, they used to just show Ali all the damn time, they must have shown his fight vs Jurgen Blin 27 times. They have recently started showing ALOT more variety, but some of them arent really classic or anything like that, the other day they had Kendall Holt on... theres LOTS more qualified fighters that should be shown on there.

Second, they dont seem to really edit it well. I record most of them to add to my DVD collection, but the way they show it ruins them. Yesterday they showed Stevie Johnston vs Jose Luis Castillo 2, great fight selection there, but they cut out rounds 4 and 5. Today they showed 3 James Toney fights, in the fight with McGroom they came back from commercial and there was only 1:54 seconds left in the round. WTF????

I hate when they do that ****. And yeah, they show any Ali fight classic or not. But as you said they have shown some good fights from the past. That Castillo v. Johnson fight was a good battle, i remember wathcing this fight live it felt like it was a ppv, great crowd, really good fight.

You're right, there's only so many times one can watch the "rumble in the jungle" or the "thrilla in manilla."

Try the Vs. network they have a show called "legends of the ring" narrated by Michael Buffer; in the past month I've seen Morrison-Foreman and Duran-Moore. Two great fights you don't see too often.
