    What happened to Don King?

Hey guys... I'm a boxing fan who watches most of the PPV's but I'm not "hardcore" and don't really keep up with boxing news too much.

Just wondering what happened to Don King? He seemed to be all over the place in the 90's and now it's guys like Bob Arum and Golden Boy.

Kind has Nikolai Valuev, Juan Diaz, Shannon Briggs, half of James Toney, Sergei Liakhovich, Cory Spinks, Felix Trinidad, Ricardo Mayorga and numerous others. He is still all over the place.

When I first met Don King, I was absolutely mesmerized. Of course I knew all about what he did. I know about the way he exploited Tyson, Holmes, Saoul Mamby, Julian Jackson, Buster Douglas, I'm not ignorant. But I'm only 19 and still young to the world as a big picture, and seeing Don King was the most surreal thing. He is really larger than life. He;s 6'4 about 250 and has the trademark hair. He's also got so much bling bling. There is something magnetic to him, like a moth to a candle. He's something else. He's a symbol of the things I want to crusade against in boxing, but I couldn't help but be totally drawn to his energy. He has more energy than anybody I ever met before.

        King has Nikoli Valuev?

Why aren't we seeing blockbuster Valuev fights in America then? Why hasnt he ever been on PPV?

I thought Don King was the best promotor... shouldnt he atleast be able to get his guys on PPV

Because Valuev wouldn't last long on PPV against an opponent good enough to sell enough tickets to make the experiment financially successful.

Dude, this guy is really something else. When he's in the room, you can't take your eyes off of him. He has this charisma to him that's something else. Ask El Jefe who was my photo guy last time I saw him. He only took pictures of King cuz it's hard to take your eyes off of him. But I know he's a bastard, and I take shots at him alot in articles cuz he's unscrupulous.
