Cappiello Promotions in association with Don Chargin Productions has announced that undefeated New Haven, Connecticut super-middleweight prospect Elvin Ayala (16-0, 7 KOs) will now take on Portland, Oregon's David Banks (11-1-1, 2 KOs) in the main event of his Friday, November 24 Telefutura fight card at The Roxy in Boston. Ayala's originally slated opponent, Freddy Cuevas, was forced to withdraw from the fight due to an injury he sustained, while training last week. " It's unfortunate that the fight between Elvin and Cuevas didn't go off, but this is boxing, and these things happen, " Cappiello states. " Cuevas has been in with some big-name fighters and it would have really given Elvin a chance to show how good he truly is. But don't get me wrong, Banks is a very capable opponent. He has only one loss, and he is by no means travelling cross-country to lose! Banks is coming to Boston to win, and Elvin knows that.
