i watched pac/morales 2 at a friends house with a large filipino population at the house and the women were going nuts, like more nuts than the men. the only thing i could do as the fight went on was watch in acceptance that i could see that from round 8 on, that morales' legs looked shaken.
When morales was KOed in the 2nd fight all these women were pointing and laughing at me as i watched in blank expression as morales was finished. but i didint mind because they were just mostly young teenage girls and moms and they cooked real good and let me eat all i wanted.
the moral of this story is dont ever watch a boxing match where the ethnic majority is what the fighter is.
The same thing happened with Naseem/Barrera where my cousins wife and their entire mexican family showed up. I was going for Naseem while about 20 mexicans were going with Barrera. Thankfully i kept my mouth shut about that fight as i got to hear all night about mexican pride and this and that. Its ok though, i have had many times where i got to rub it in, but those are the 2 times i can remember being totally outnumbered.Comment
