Recognised as the best fighter on the planet when 1994 was on the scene and only lost when he ate himself out of a fight.


And is now beating up some of the world's best super-heavyweights for a living.

james toney was a great fighter but hes last few fight hes been acting like he doesnt care, comes in overweight, and seems like the only reason hes fighting is to get paid, its important but fighters have to know they have fans and whenever they do this stuff they let em down. Come in shape James 220 ish and maybe people will begin to like u more...

I have a tape of a bout with me against Carl Griffith where James was working my corner. He may have been 20 atthe time or so. He was 156 lbs back then, you wouldnt even believe that it was him. But no matter what anybody has to say about him he is an excellent fighter when he comes prepared....................Rockin'

The fact that he took everything a monster like Samuel Peter could throw at him (punches that damn near killed Jeremy Williams, Yanqui Diaz...punches that badly hurt the number 1 heavyweight right now) is a true testament to his toughness. He may have personal problems controlling his weight, but i'll always enjoy watching him fight.
