    For the PBF haters

I never seem to see any stories about the good things he does, so I thought I'd put one up. Floyd also hands out coats, gloves and hats to kids that can't afford them during the winter. The comedy event it mentions is the second time he's held an event like this. During the summer, he held a weekend long event which included a celebrity Basketball game, a concert and a comedy show (I think that right).

Press Release: World welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather will return to his hometown of Grand Rapids, Michigan tomorrow to host his fifth annual Thanksgiving Feast giveaway. Mayweather, who supports the giveaway through his own contributions, will arrive at the Madison Family Market in his childhood southside neighborhood at 2:00 pm and hand out 500 turkeys with all of the trimmings—including potatoes, vegetables, stuffing, cranberry sauce and pies—to 500 selected families. "Grand Rapids is my home and I will never forget where I came from," affirmed Mayweather. "I'm humbled to be back here for the fifth year in a row and happy to be able to give these families a Happy Thanksgiving." Mayweather will remain in Grand Rapids for the holiday weekend as he is also set to host a comedy event to help raise money for cancer research in the area.

That's great. He's one of my favorite fighters, but I just can't stand his ****iness. I love watching him fight and am very glad to hear he does stuff like this, it's just his arrogance I can't tolerate.

I'm a huge fan and I can see why people would get tired of his ****iness. I just hate when people act like he's such a terrible person. He does a lot of great things, especially for the city of GR.

A Character named Nino Brown,, who is a CRACK dealing thug ass gansta also gives a way turkeys at Thanksgiven..Its called a PR stunt..
I will give him credit for doing it in his home town instead of some big stage city like New York..
Now before you call me a hater.. I like Floyd the Boxer and he is easily the most talented fighter on the planet.. I also think he has Charisma outside of the ring..
BUT .. there is nothing in his character to suggest he gives a **** ass about anyone except himself.. I know a PR stunt when I see one..

He has so much bad P.R. he could just be doing it for good propaganda...I dunno. He's talented I just hate his attitude, arrogance and the fact that he cries like a little girl too much after his fights.

You're definitely right, celebrities do **** like this all the time. And I can understand why one would say this is more of the same, because Floyd definitely does not appear to care about others. But the fact that it's on his home town and that I've never seen him talk about it publically lets me know that it's a sincere act.

I can see where you'd think that but PR stands for Public Relations. There was no publicity when he gave away the coats, hats and gloves and this is the first I've heard of the Turkey giveaways. Maybe he is trying to better his image but he sure isn't asking for much attention to do it. I live in GR about 3 miles from where Floyd grew up and I can honestly tell you that there is nothing but good things said about his personality. Some friends of mine that never liked Floyd played B-Ball with him a few months back and afterwards even said that he was a funny, laid-back guy who was easy to get along with. And those were self admitted Floyd haters

I dated a girl from Port Huron/Harbour Beach area for 2 years I have been all over MI and I know there are very poor depressed areas there
ANd I DID say I give Floyd credit for doing it in his HOME TOWN.. I also said he is very Charismatic which means charming... which usually means likeable.. It doesn't matter if he talks about it.. HE KNOWS because of who he is it WILL make its way to the PRESS ... maybe he is being sincere.. But giving away turkies is lazy.. You know "Give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day.. Teach a man to fish and he will eat for life"? it just stinks of PR man.. I mean no offence
