He seems to want taylor, and Taylor seems to want to fight Calzaghe. What boxing fans wouldn't want to see that fight?

He won't fight Kessler. It's obvious. He shouldn't try to use HBO as an excuse either. HBO paid to show highlights of the Kessler-Beyer fight to US fans in order to build up a possible unification fight with Calzaghe. Calzaghe is just flat out ducking a unification fight. How does unifying hurt your legacy, but fighting a guy like Manfredo who has done nothing at the championship level help it?

so joe should sit around doing **** all when kessler has a mandatory to fullfill early next year
incase you havnt noticed kessler has recently vacated the wba belt and needs to do hes wbc mandatory.
plus im sure a victory over manfredo will raise hes profile more than kessler , no matter how many belts are on the ****ing line

I see Yankee fighters taking on other fighters that have no chance all the time for recognition... Hopkins vs. De La Hoya being a most notable example. That one became "career defining", didn't it?

There's nothing wrong with building a name on boxrec bull**** - cos everyone does it - as long as he fights Kessler one day. And I seriously doubt he'd "duck" anyone. I read on this forum for a year who he "feared" Lacy. He feared him so much he slapped seven shades of **** out of him.
