    Impressions of Dimitrenko...

Just watched the Zumbrum/Dimitrenko bout, and I am thoroughly impressed. He dominated Zum the whole fight (who I think has a lot of heart but a poor defense) with a very powerful jab and accurate straight rights. He seems young so I can see him easily being Wlads successor. He's not at Wlad's level yet, and I think he knws that someone like Toney, Peter, Wlad, or Maskaev would beat him. But it wont be long before ths kid makes a big splash.

Im curious about what you guys think about him.

The guy's jab is like a cannon. He also has 83" reach, which makes him a very good distance fighter. He's got a good stamina but doesn't have that much power in his hands. I think it's too early to tell. Btw, I saw that fight a lot closer than the judges did.

For me to take notice, Dimitrenko has to demolish the Billy Zumbrums of the boxing world. Zumbrums only claim to fame was his dominating performance of former heavyweight champ Rid**** Bowe.

Some guys just plain don't look for knockouts. I don't know how you can possibly knock a very green and young Dimitrenko for beating a rough and tumble pro like Zumbrum decisively. He has a long time to develop still. I hope these young eastern european fighters don't rush themselves. Their time will come in another 3 years or so.
