Will Billy Joe Saunders Ever Announce A Fight??

Was supposed to be announced yesterday according to Frank Warren.

Sitting on your laurels and becoming irrelevant isn't a good career move in my opinion.

There are rumors that it might be Lemieux for December.

A lot of boxing fans were disappointed when Billy Joe Saunders
elected not to fight Gabriel Rosado on the Smith-Canelo card on
September 17, 2016. I guess in BJS mind it was a high risk and a
low reward type of fight to take. Gabriel Rosado could have really
messed up his plans to have that super unification match up with
GGG. Take this past December for instance, Golden Boy took part
in broadcasting a HBO Latino boxing telecast and it featured Gabe
Rosado vs. Joshua Clottey that was supposed to be a tune up for
Joshua Clottey to be next in line to fight Canelo Alvarez and Gabe
Rosado ended up winning all of the rounds in that fight. Actually it
wont be David Lemieux for BJS in December. Lemieux is scheduled
to fight Argentinian journeyman Cristian Fabian Rios on October 22
whoever, Saunders decides to fight it should be an opponent who's
ranked in the top 15 of WBO Middleweight rankings in his division.

What laurels? Going life and death against local opposition?

A podcast I listen too said that BJS might be having problems with Warren.

Has apparently dropped him as his manager

yeah ! it’ll be interesting to see if Saunders faces talented opponent next or if it’ll be a bottom feeder from the WBO’s rankings.

As a BJS fan its hard to be excited about anything BJS has done or said lately. I'm hoping he's waiting on a big move so it'll all be kinda sorta worth it when something does get announced, but I'm not holding my breath as I think BJS might be a cat who wayyyyy overthinks things or overplays his position. Hope I'm wrong as I think he's the sleeper of 160lbs & he'll be competitive, at worst, with anyone in the division.
