March 5th, Eggington vs Skeete: Who you got?

    Sam Eggington (17 wins (9ko), 2 losses)

    22 years old
    British + Commonwealth Champion
    5"11.

    VS.

    Bradley Skeete (22 wins (10ko), 1 loss)

    28 years old
    WBO European WW Champion
    6"1.

Both are tall lanky builds, but Eggington is more of brawler than Skeete who is a decent boxer. Many thought Skeete beat Frankie Gavin in a close fight, and Eggington has been on a great run in the last few years after a few prizefighter set backs.

I think the Egg might struggle early but i fancy him to get to him, and get the win, second half of the fight.

    War Eggington

I like Skeete in this fight but only just.I like Eggington, his rise has been nothing short of amazing but Skeete is the more natural athlete with the better pedigree,i'm sure he's sparred many rounds with James Degale on a constant basis, which surely must give you a mental boost as well as giving you the belief that you belong at that level.I believe Skeete has fought the better opposition throughout his career, but that's not to say that Eggington has had it easy because he hasn't.

Early prediction...Skeete boxing off the back foot being cautious throughout the contest winning a hard 12 round fight.

I havent seen that much of Skeete to be fair, and I like the Egg, so take anything i say with a pinch of salt.

I think if Eggington can avoid being hypnotised by Skeetes feints and jabs, dominates the centre of the ring (which he does very well tbf) and stays busy he should get the W. Not easy obviously, but i reckon Eggs got what it takes to do it.

The key is not letting Skeete control the pace and rhythm of the fight imo.

Should be a good clash of styles

I thought the height difference would be more tbh, but they look pretty similar

No buzz for this on GBS?

Looks a good fight on paper, clash of styles, both with momentum.

Skeete is a tricky boxer for sure. 6'1" with long reach a good educated lead hand, good boxing brain and underrated pop.

The Savage has his hands full for sure. But then so does Skeete. The Egg is 5'11" with good reach, educated lead hand, beautiful right, and a solid boxing brain to go with his tenacity and courage.

A loss for either guy wouldnt be the end of the world. Props to both for taking the fight

                Cant wait
