Stiverne and Dos Santos did NOT get diagnosed until AFTER a grueling fight. They both lost and so it may or may not be just added excuses, as Wilder believed remember? Remember that Don King/Stiverne wanted a rematch. Or there could have been muscle damage during their HW fights. Very possible.
"In retrospect, he believes he overtrained for the 2012 bout. His brown urine after the fight was a sign of that"
"The morning after the bout, his urine was a very dark brown, the color of Guinness Stout beer.
He wasn’t urinating blood, as some fighters do after a grueling match. Rather, the brown coloration of his urine was due to rhabdomyolysis. His muscle fiber was breaking down and getting into the blood steam."
So you cannot say that it happened before. It is just a "claim" that it may have happened but lets play the game and say that it happened before.
One of the reasons for getting Rhambo is related to some kind of substance abuse. This is often the case (34% of cases). Dos Santos and Stiverne may have used and abused. Creatine? "performance-enhancing dietary supplements, especially those containing creatine, ephedrine, ephedra, or high levels of caffeine"
WEIGHT and Conditioning:
=========================
Remember that with Floyd, you kept on talking about his walking weight must be so high that it drained him to get to 147? Well, you went with that until I provided facts that Floyd himself says he walks around 150lbs and his 30 day weigh-in to the final weigh-in was stable. I doubt that these guys walking weight was their weigh-in weight. As stated, they targeted a weight at the start of their training and tried to achieve it.
There is no way that fat Stiverne goes into his training camp already looking like Floyd Mayweather. As you are well aware, Floyd is already in decent shape even before training camp and has done what he did for every fight. He takes nobody likely. Rhambo often happens to people who are not well conditioned and does not take the required rest during their workouts. Stiverne and Dos Santos admittingly did that. Floyd, as I said, is already in good condition and so can and did take breaks during his training. Plus, Floyd had Alex Ariza monitoring him.
""Dos Santos just wasn't getting enough rest," Dortas said."
In the remaining days before the fight, Floyd said in numerous interviews that he felt great and his plan was to take it easy and relax, watch movies, watch and bet on basketball and some "shakeout" and planning. So Floyd did everything he had to do.
What did Floyd/Ellerbe say after getting his RETRO TUE why he got an IV?
================================================== =======
- "It was JUST dehydration"
- "I mean, I mean, some fighters take Pedialyte,..."
- "Remember he needs to do the drug testing, he is working out, get blood taken, give urine ....."
- "My urine was dark, really dark ... it could be from overworking"
So to say, Stiverne and Dos Santos had Rhambo and claimed that probably had it even before the fight. Floyd did NOT say that he had Rhambo. There were several interviews with Floyd. It was always related to Dehydration!!! In fact, they were so confused and unprepared that they couldn't even come up with a consistent intelligent response. Go back to Floyd/Ellerbe interview. Floyd/Ellerbe had no idea why Floyd got an IV!!!

Diagnosis:
==========
Rhambo is not easy to detect.
"Physicians use laboratory tests that detect excess muscle proteins and enzymes in the blood and urine to diagnose rhabdomyolysis."
Then depending on the degree of the illness, further more specific tests are made. They want to be sure that there is no liver damage, no kidney damage and no chance at having a cardiac episode. So the patient needs to go to the hospital to get the correct diagnosis.
"An important part of diagnosing rhabdomyolysis is a comprehensive medical history and physical examination."
Floyd did not go to the hospital to get diagnosed. Instead, Floyd received an interview from FightHype telling us that he is not like other (Stiverne and Dos Santos) who drains their body .... LOL
Treatment:
===========
Once diagnosed with Rhambo, the initial treatment is done at the hospital
"Rhabdomyolysis is a medical emergency. Treatment is always done in the hospital."
You appear to be confused.
If you have Rhambo, you will be given IVs for a period of days. Not like Floyd, 750ml and done. What Floyd said and did is to rehydrate his body.
Rhambo is when muscle tissue is damaged and release harmful toxins into your body. Mainly, the kidneys, liver and heart can be affected.
" which is why Rhabdo can lead to kidney damage or complete kidney failure if left untreated"
"Depending on the extent of toxins released, IV fluids are usually given for 2 to 5 days."
So as you can see, it is not possible that Floyd had Rhambo. You need loads of IVs for a period of time then they reexamine (more lab tests). As Floyd/Ellerbe said, it was just for rehydration!!!
Recovery:
=========
Again, you appear to be confused thinking that you get IV of 750ml and you are "cured". After getting 6 to 12 liters of IV during a period of at least 24 hours but most likely days, the patient will need to not exert any stress on the affected muscles that are damaged. They will be told to not do any activity for weeks if not months.
Floyd fought the next day!!!

Vitamin laced IV coccktail:
==========================
For Rhambo, your electrolytes are out of whack, due to the toxins that are released. So they provide an IV to balance out your electrolytes.
"In the initial stages, electrolyte levels are often abnormal and require correction. High potassium levels can be life-threatening, and respond to increased urine production and renal replacement therapy (see below).[8] Temporary measures include the administration of calcium to protect against cardiac complications, insulin or salbutamol to redistribute potassium into cells, and infusions of bicarbonate solution.[18]"
So from the above, one can see that they are trying to prevent a further acidic situation by treating with the above medication.
I know that at least some vitamins are acidic. Vitamin C (Ascorbic acid) is certainly acidic. While it is certainly helpful in preventing dehydration and even in preventing Rhambo but once you actually have Rhambo then they want to balance out the body with bicarbonate solution (alkaline) NOT vitamin based such as Ascorbic acidic vitamin C.
but lets face it
Vitamin laced IVs are related to IV Boutique clinics. Floyd has more than likely used the same Boutique clinic in the past. Go check out (VEGAS) Boutique clinics. They will have on the menu, vitamin IVs to rehydrate you.

Here is a VEGAS IV Boutique clinic: https://www.myvitamintherapy.com/
- I.V Vitamin C (Ascorbic acid) Packages - $99
- Intravenous Vitamin Therapy: The “Myers’ ****tail” $125.00
WADA, USADA's website and experts all say that dehydration by way of drinking fluids is the way to go. You do not use an IV to recover from a workout! But we both know that Floyd was just relaxing in his final days before the fight. Floyd said so in multiple interviews!!! So even then, it makes no sense!!!
The experts clearly stated that Floyd should NOT have received a RETRO TUE. Only way Floyd should have received the RETRO TUE is if Floyd was in no way or shape to have fought the next day. That is according to the experts. They even wrote to WADA because giving Floyd a RETRO TUE made no sense!!!
USADA was the final word. NOT WADA. If USADA would have investigated, USADA would be investigating USADA/Floyd incident! That is WRONG!!! I said it. Experts said it.
