Excellent. Be great to see a Gomez rematch in fact a match with any of the top super feather's in Britain would be interesting, must have been a bad injury he's been dealing with then coz that's a good while he's been out so good to see him back at last

Had operation on his shoulder, could have returned start of last year but lost all confidence. Let's hope he comes through his first match ok.

Here's a bit more detail from the FW website.

Returning Kevin Lear has been handed an intriguing fight with unbeaten Paul Halpin when he appears at the Wembley Conference Centre on February 25.

Halpin, 30, has fought just once in the last five years, but is a former Southern Area champion and has an impressive 11-1 record with five stoppages.

Like Lear he is making a comeback after a long lay-off – in his case three years.

Former WBU super-featherweight champion Lear, 27, hasn’t been in action since defending his title in September 2002.

A long-term shoulder injury laid him low – but now he is back and according to his management team has looked sensational in sparring.
