Buakaw is very skilled as a striker. I remember reading comments before that Mayweather could KO him easy, lol. If it was under FTR or Glory/K1 rules Mayweather wouldnt last 2 rounds against Buakaw. He wouldnt know how to deal with the low, body kicks or the knees in the clinch. Mayweather likes to clinch when he gets overwhelmed quite a bit, Buakaw would knee his body into "bolivian" and then catch him on the chin with a knee trying to duck.

Buakwaw, like virtually all other Muay Thai fighters from Thailand are known for their kicks & elbows. They tend to not have much power in their fists. He only has 56 KOs from 249 fights and I guarantee most of them came from kicks and elbows. That is not a good ratio.

^Buakaw is no ordinary Muay Thai fighter. His style has westernized and he worked hard on his boxing. I can think of about 3 left hook ko's to the chin that he pulled off as well as a body shot. He still has a boxing disadvantage against opponents with good hands, though, especially defensively. As for this Mayweather topic, that's just mental ************.

if u really think about it buakaw doesnt really have the traditonal muay thai style of fighting so im not suprise here. the way he square off and everything is not the usual stance u would get from a muay thai fighter.

i wouldnt go that far saying they dont have punching power. the main weapon for muay thai is using ur legs so of course their gonna concentrate more on that.
