  • Anyone been to the M.E.N/P4U Arena in Manchester?

I have a question to ask the people who have been to a fight in the Phones 4 U Arena (formerly known as the M.E.N Arena) in Manchester, England. I'm looking to buy tickets for the Chisora V Fury 2 fight and I'm looking at 2 tickets at the lower tier 106, Row E. I've never been in the arena so I have no idea how the seats are and how the view of the ring is so I'd like to ask -

Are those seats at that particular tier worth it? They're going for like £100 each. Can anyone who's ever been there tell me how the view from those seats are? Or would I be better off not going?

    Thanks for your help guys

Ive been to MEN a couple of times but not to see a fight. Its not a huge place, and im sure all seats will have a good veiw.

I looked at the seating map, and those are the seats i would of gone for. I think the view will be great as long as a ring post or cameraman dont get in the way.
I prefer to be higher up for that reason.

Great seats for only 100. imo.

thanks for the advice. I'm reading some reviews of the arena and it seems pretty mixed. There seem to be a lot of restrictions as to what you can and can't do
i'm hoping someone comes in here and shares their experiences too

Apparently the staff there don't let you take your own food and drink into the arena, they won't let you exit the building then come back in if you have to say answer an emergency call. I've alsi heard the security is inept and the stairs are steep as ****. Plus the food is a rip off

I didnt think the stairs were too bad. But yea, every fight ive been to they wont let you leave and come back.

the stairs are a bit steep (not ******ly steep) but thats a good thing. i was there once in cheap seats it means you're higher up not further back if that makes sense.

I saw Roger Waters their a few years ago,it was top tier and the view of the central area would have been adequate, not great, but the tiers are steep so that you can really have a view unhindered by anyone in front.I would go again for a boxing event at the top tier not worrying about the view in the slightest.although obviously the closer the better.

Has anyone on this thread been to the Leeds arena recently opened, what are their thoughts of that arena,I heard it is purpose built for acoustic concerts and the sound reverberates like no other due to the shape of the arena.thoughts please ?

Also out of curiosity is this event expected to sell out ? Do Fury and Chisora warrant a 20k capacity crowd ?
