Pacman seems to favour fighting on the wrong side. Text book boxing has a southpaw circling to his right, so he can land his left cross, and stay away from his opponents right cross.

But Pacman does it differently to the text books, he stays to his left a bit, where he is vunerable to the opponents right cross.

What are the advantages and disadvantages to circling to the left and staying to the left and being inline for their straight right? Its obviously a very deliberate strategy roach teaches, and an approach thats gaining popularity amoung southpaws.

lots of southpaws move to their left, its generally to bait a right hand so they can either counter or in pacquiaos case beat them to the punch. pac has been effective with it for the most part because he is smarter than most of his opponents. against JMM that wasnt the case however so instead he got right hands bounced off his jaw all night.

Sometimes you have to deviate from the textbook to win, not everyone can do it, but his unorthodox style is what makes him so difficult to fight, some of these haters call him flawed but he isn't flawed his style works, if he was Flawed it would mean he was losing, you have to create your own style because textbook style means easy to decifer you gotta mix it up so you are not easy to read. That is why most fights you see are between two text book boxers and they are boring as hell and look like sparring matches because they don't improvise or look for openings they just stick by the book.

That's not true at all. Often times you hear Roach instructing PAC to circle to his right, especially against Juanita. But, PAC is stubborn for some reason and does not follow it, and he paid for it dearly by getting KTFO.
