  • Broner No-More

As a boxing fan there are many emotions experienced while watching a bout, but few like this past weekend when the brash Broner was severely beat up.
I recall my heart throbbing In my chest the night when well ahead on the scorecard Chavez sent Martinez to the canvas, Martinez looked out on his feet and I was literally on my feet for the final 2 minutes.
I recall the night Corrales came back to beat Castillo, such was the comeback I never knew if to trust my own eyes that was projecting the action back to my cranium.
Broner is nothing more than a little immature fool and it was great to see Maidana humiliate him, I would have used the phrase “humble him” but I think broner is beyond that, he is just the type of boy who will always be a fool.

Ah most definitely, I'm a Mayweather fan, so for this punk to come along and say he's the new without really ever proving anything, was just annoying I gotta say the least. He did deliver a good fight though and I respect him for that.

I agree with you when you say Broner seems that type of guy that won't be humbled, but I feel like he will be...

His image and persona as 'baby Floyd' will live on, but behind closed doors he will make changes eventually otherwise he will be beaten time and time again.

And I'm not a fan of his btw...

Who we see Broner is right now, is what he will always remain. Every fight takes something out of you but he's been squeaking by since the PDL fight. I heard he had a tough time before that too. I give him some credit because he stayed in there even though he didn't want to, which takes a lot to do as well.

Broner didn't change immediately after that, he didn't adjust, he didn't speak differently and he didn't really show any sign of respectable character besides decent sportsmanship. He seemed almost in disbelief that he got an ass beating that bad. He still talks somewhat the same but less confident. Is he shamed? Probably but who isn't after a loss, remember when he beat DeMarco and DeMarco looked like he was about to cry the whole post fight press conference? Broner showed no sense of humility besides "thanks team Maidana, that was a good fight. Thanks fans." What we saw in the ring, post fight interview, is exactly what he is. What you may call it is different and varies from person to person but ultimately we're really coming to the similar conclusions here.

If he gets a rematch, he either has to up his game or he will lose even worse. Maidana never fought someone like that before, as he admitted but if he fights him again...immediately? Broner's career could very well be over. If it's not already.

It almost felt as good as when JMM knocked Pacquiao out cold...except, it was more like an everlasting ****** to see Broner get pummeled for 12 rounds.

Maidana fought a superb fight…Totally took Broner at of his game and beat him up for nearly 12 rounds. I sure hope Coach Stafford can help Broner work on his faults, mostly is promotion of himself. Which is lacking severely!

Firstly, I would like to start off by saying, I was more than happy to see Broner get his ass handed him like that, it was well deserving.

What most of your are failing to realize is that the rematch is a winnable fight for Broner. Its not like he fought great and just got outclassed, No. He fought like **** for the most part, no head movement and no work rate. There is a TON of room for adjustments to be made. Maidanas game plan although extremely successful was not flawless as he himself was caught multiple times throwing those loopy punches. He has the tools to win the rematch, he just needs to utilize him. He was clearly not ready for someone with Maidanas power and determination. I expect a Broner win or a lot closer of a fight come round 2.

The intrique in how this young fellow will react to his up coming bout is very high for me.
This is the modern day braggert who has skills but won't listen to his trainer (who taught him well) and his management who succummed to pressures by outside forces. This fellow must grow up in boxing and in maturity, should be an interesting view in a tuff way to make a living when events seemed so easy .........till now!
I must credit his heart, I watch the bout and he could have ducked out but he finished and was trying. I think this test came 12 to 15 months to soon but its on him and his team to correct training methods and concentrate on the techniques needed to defeat Maidana.
I believe the physical attributes are there to be successful however his immaturity may still exsist and that along with Maidana's willingness had his number!
Hopefully its a better fight and both boys work hard and stay safe! Ray
