  • best fight scene in asia?

Where's the best fight scene in Asia? Korea? Japan? Thailand? or the Philippines? I live in India and all the fighters I know here bemoan the fact that there's no pro fight game, just the Soviet style, fight for Railways in exchange for a job with the railway thing. I know Thailand and the Philippines have active fight scenes, but I'm curious how much guys can get paid.

Im gonna go out on a limb and say, consistently, Japan has the best fight scene. Recently there's been a huge hooha with phillipino fighters cuz of Pacman, but i think in the long term, Japan has the best, most active, consistent fight scene.

Fighters in the Philippines are not paid much especially for new professional boxers with less credentials. Even some really good Filipio boxers who have now joined Pacman's campaign in the U.S are getting paid $1,000 - $3,000 per fight in the local scenes.

If you're looking for a good training ground, Philippines have world class gyms with ample supply of quality trainers and sparring partners particularly Cebu, Paranaque, Davao and Manila. Plus you get the year-long tropical season. As far as finding or hooking up with fellow Indians, there are a number of Indians who have chosen to live in the Philippines and work there, mostly traders in big cities I mentioned above.

Thailand has good amateur programs but boxing is now being threatened by the more popular muay-thai. Boxing opportunities and pay imo is probably the same if not better compared to that in the Philippines but it is hard to get outside exposure due to lack of willing promoters who want to venture outside. Their best fighters have incredibly high number of "padded" wins in their resumes due to class C and D opponents being fed to them.

If you're after higher pay scales and busier fight schedules, I believe Japan or Korea might offer better opportunities.

                    I live in India
India had some good fighters at the commonwealth games, they had a superheavy who was sick until gassing in the last round and started cheating before getting stopped after three standing 8 counts, he knocked down our English fighter three times and even done an Ali shuffle lol, I wasnt aware boxing even existed in India.
