I know this doesn't mean Haye is better but you would admit that Haye is more technically proficient than Froch?

Froch fights in a live division and has achieved a great deal; Haye fights in a comparatively weak weight-class and has achieved nothing.

Haye is perhaps more rounded, but his accomplishments are inferior. With Haye, it's 'what if'.

Haye has not achieved nothing, he was a Cruiserweight and Heavyweight world champion. Haye definitely has more skill than Froch and there is no elite fighter in boxing today that seems to take as many flush power pounches to the head as Froch. Froch certainly has the better wins but to me resume is not everything.

He was CW champ, yes; even if he did avoid other live-wires in the division.

He should have been 'regular' WBA champ at HW. Valuev wasn't the true WBA champ; Chagaev was before his fight with Wlad in '09.

As I said before, Haye is mostly hot air.

Not long ago you seemed to indicate that there were no live wires and now Haye was avoiding live-wires. Whatever charge sticks I suppose.

Well the 'regular' WBA champs are considered champions today. I'm sure Chagaev would have been Haye's heavyweight downfall...

If Froch is as clearly better or greater than Haye then you really shouldn't have to resort to this kind of nonsense. Haye had his achievements, Froch's are greater but untimately I simply think Haye was/is probably a better fighter.

horrible post/opinion. No Boxing expert worth any salt would rank Haye above Froch.

Haye not only lost to carl Thompson, he got brutally koed.

Wladimir literally didn't lose a round to him.

Froch did far better against ward than Haye did against Wald.

Froch revenged his only other loss.

Haye imo had a no contest against Valuev.

                More technically proficient my arse.

                Move on now....

Froch P4P number 1 and KING of England! especially after he avenges the ward defeat in UK 2014 with a crisp KO

He should get out with his health. He has a young family, a gorgeous girl friend, some solid investments and a damn good resume.

                    He'll be very well remembered.
Tend to agree, the shots he takes can't be doing him any good in the long term.

In saying that, Groves II would be the biggest fight in front of the largest audience and the biggest payday of his career.

"Technical proficiency" is a little bit abstract. How do you measure it? It can't be measured really, all we have concrete is resume i.e. who did you fight and who did you beat.

How can u NOT appreciate Carl Froch!?

It actually bothers me when people dont respect him because he is a fighter who fights the best comp out there time and time again and thats what we want as fans, now If he isn't getting credit and respect for it then why should we expect any other fighters to step up and face the best each time out? Wouldnt it be smarter for them to cherry pick and duck their way through a career if they wont get the respect for facing the best anyway???
Boxing would be a far better sport if there were more fighters like Carl Froch in it

Groves was whooping em bad though and deserves a rematch so lets hope he gets it and we can see who really is the superior fighter because I still dont know tbh
