  • Why I no longer like Froch...

"As much as the fans want to see it reach a natural conclusion against George Groves, with me knocking him out again, I feel personally I gave him his chance and he blew it - he can't cut it at world level," said the champion.- C. Froch - Source BBC

This type of statement is exactly why I have always struggled to be a Froch fan.
I love his fights but his manner outside the ring is terrible.
I've seen people say about fair weather fans, I think this explains the second round of booing post fight

    What do you guys think?

He's scum. And he actually described himself as a "massive international superstar". ROFL

I gotta agree with you on this, a fighter can be entertaining inside the ring but still difficult to root for when they make those types of comments.

Excellent fighter, but definitely a bit of a cnut out of the ring, which is a shame, seems up himself all the time.

Hes far nicer than the ugly Floyd mayweather and Broner.

Hes a confident man, and he backs it up.

No wondering Froch is not a crossover star. Idiotic comments.

There was a severe lack of his smash up boxing style, Groves' power stopped that imo, now Froch is digging a deeper hole for himself saying stuff like that, i'm staying loyal and backing him sill cause he's been a warrior for 5/6 years straight.
Though yet i still want him to fight Groves again, it's the right thing to do morally, boxing isn't a moral game though...

A good fight against Bute and he is on top of the world, a bad fight with Groves and he is through. It is so true when they say "you are only as good as your last fight".

He has zero charm, he lost to Dirrell, almost lost to Johnson & Taylor, was about to lose to Groves and clearly doesn't want to find him again.
He said the Ward fight was 'very close' (lol)
On the plus side However he schooled Abraham, battered Bute, won clearly against Kessler in the rematch, beat Pascal and showed heart against Taylor.
He is hit and miss both in ability and personality.

Wow. Groves made Froch look really bad,so if Groves can't cut it at world level what does that say about Froch? I would have had more respect for froch if he said he had not prepared properly and groves surprised him and it would be different next time. groves earned a lot of credit in that fight and silly coments like this one can't erase that.
