After round 6, there was only gonna be one winner and it wasn't gonna be Groves

Froch came through that and was looking strong, looking like he'd be relentless to the end (as usual), Groves was looking fatigued with each passing round

The ref really has ****ed Froch more than Groves, because somehow this little prick GG now has a bandwagon of arselickers and a warrior that deserves nothing but respect like Froch is now somehow the bad guy (done nothing wrong but show amazing heart, determination and grit) because of a slightly premature stoppage by the ref

A rematch wont be as entertaining i fear, Froch wont be getting put on his arse again that early and Groves might pace himself better next time and box more on the back foot like he did against Degale so he has more in the tank for the late rounds, he was being ****** after round 6 due to fatigue trying to meet Froch head on and getting caught due to it and wobbled eahc time he was caught, saying that Froch now has even more wear & tear after that one, and is 11 years older remember

Based on the 50 seconds Froch had on top in round 9 I feel your assertion of the fight is strange. Froch wasn't coming on top after round 6. It was just more equal, with Groves still landing the better shots in r. 7 and 8. Froch had a few flurries in round 8, so he can have the round.

He was good in round 9, but 15 secs before the "stoppage" he'd taken a right hand square on the jaw.

Or maybe neutral fans who saw him treated unjustly. I'm a Froch fan myself, btw.

I'm neutral... But leaning strongly towards Froch, before the fight.
I was waiting for Froch to act smarter after the stoppage. He didn't.

I think Groves was the better fighter and boxer, hands down.

Of course Froch was going to have some success, he's that experienced and actually not that bad a fighter that it was inevitable he was going to have 'some' success. But that's all it was, a bit of success in an otherwise one sided affair where (by Jim Watt's own words) Groves was 'making Froch look like a mug'.

To say there was only going to be one winner after round 6 and it was going to be Froch is an incredible thing to say. If it wasn't for that 15 second salvo (in which Froch's defence looked terrible and caused him to take a couple of solid hits himself - making it doubly strange the ref stopped proceedings) I'd be hard pressed to give Froch anything. Having said that, I did give Froch one round drawn and one round won (can't recall which right now), which is a lot more than most gave him (insane 'official' score cards not withstanding of course).

Talking about what might have happened is irrelevant because we'll never know. Froch won because the referee prematurely stopped the fight.

Groves was the better man on the night and is mightily unlucky to chalk up a first loss

What's the latest, Froch said he'd give the rematch? He sure acted ****y though.

A few different things have been said, Froch doesn't sound against the rematch but he doesn't sound like it'll be something his team will actively chase.

I like Froch as much as the next guy, but I thought Jim Watt called it perfectly when he said he didn't like Froch's attitude in the build-up and he'd taken that into the fight.

Plain and simple, Froch got outclassed and was on the receiving end of a lucky stoppage. The more I watch it the more disgusted I am.
I think 'hate' is being a tad dramatic, mate.

But I can't wait for him to retire. Or, move up to the studio & let someone else do the blow by blow.

Agree with you about the fight though. The more I watch the worse it gets. Not Carls fault, of course, & I don't expect him to say anything other than what he's said but Foster messed up & they shouldn't have used a UK Ref in this fight. Not because of the quality but because of the build up.

Im the opposite the more I watch it the more of a great decision it was. In fact it was almost to good.

it ticks every criteria of a stoppage and then some, with 1.30 there was not only one winner, there was only one person getting stretchered out, and never boxing again.

Some of the posts on here have been woeful
