Froch couldn't look at Groves through the rage inside.... The only thing Groves can do in this fight is run for 12 rounds.. And this makes for a boring fight..Because if Froch lands one on the kid it will be night night for sure..... And Groves for sure knows this

I was rooting for Groves against DeGale, but by fuck he has turned into a complete bellend. Had to laugh when they asked DeGale how he thought the Froch fight would go and he was trying to act all humble - 'no preference', 'hopes it's a good fight for the fans', etc. We all know he wants Groves to get smashed

As others have touched on, I think Groves wants Froch to fly at him and punch himself out. However, I have always believed Groves hasn't got the best chin. If anyone is going to test it, it's Froch.

If Froch just throws himself forward without a proper game plan like he did against Dirrell he'll play right into Grove's hands.

I have no idea how good Groves is - or isn't. But I know he's smart enough to keep jabbing & moving against that version of Froch.

Firstly if anyone thinks dirrell beat froch then they need there eyes tested. I was at the fight live and scored it 4 rounds to froch.

The press row and all the experts agree with me, as do there faces which showed froch unmarked and dirrell busted up in the nose and mouth area. His best round was the 11th which ironically was a draw round for rightly being docked a point for excessive holding and illegal ducking. ANyone who thinks froch loist that fight is a pure hater.

As for the taylor urban myth, froch was a draw going into that round on the Showtime score cards, and the press row, and was a split decision going into the 12th. With it being a blatant 10-7 round froch would have won on points on my scrore card.

As for this, i think its going to be a good fight and Groves could prove illusive and outpoint froch. Its all dependant on whether you think froch has aged over night or not.

He'll want Froch to come at him, but not to punch himself out. There's quite frankly no chance of that happening. Froch is one of the fittest guys in boxing. period. He threw almost 1000 punches vs Kessler and still looked fresh in the 12th round- The guy is an animal and a meticulous trainer.

Groves will want to catch Froch coming forward with crisp, hard counters. He'll pot-shot with hard shots and try to frustrate Carl. Problem is that Carl is extremely underrated in terms of boxing skills. He's got a very good jab and punches hard. He's not got that one punch KO power - but he's strong.

There more I think about it I can't see Groves winning. But it will be more competitive than some would let you to believe.

Against Degale, Groves had to eat a lot of personal insults in the build up. Degale cast himself as the pantomime villain....and this may have biased the judges in the case of the closer rounds.

This time Groves becomes the villain and I fear it may cost him if the fight is close. It was hilarious when he was teasing Froch about him being close to tears. There is no two ways about it, Carl did seem on the brink of losing it.....he really was seething.

Whether this will have any bearing on the fight is up for discussion.

                Hello Slim,

Personally I had the fight a draw. Wouldn't have a problem with either one shading it. Really can't see how you scored Froch 4 up although I know we see things differently when we're at the bout rather than on telly.

I watched it on Showtime & the commentary was one of the most biased I've ever heard. I think Jim Watt is shocking but the US commentators that night were TERRIBLE. If somebody watched that who didn't really know about boxing I can see their outrage & belief that Dirrell won. Most of the rounds were close yet they (the TV people) gave them all to Andre. In a big way.

I tell people who watched the US version to try another one or even with the sound off.

But to me Froch was ineffective & Dirrell was fighting too scared until the last couple of rounds when he finally started believing he belonged.

As for the press row & 'all the experts' agreeing with you - are you saying that they also think Froch won by 4 or just won. I don't remember it that way, mate.

And lastly, judging a fight by a marked up fighter's face isn't really the best way to do things.

Again, I had it a close fight with neither one deserving of a win. They were both poor. And I've been a Froch fan since he was an amateur.

                  Sugar,

Do you seriously believe the judges take DeGales pre-fight antics into consideration?

Froch could hardly control himself. Just being in the same room with Groves makes him shiver in anger for some reason. Maybe it's because Groves looks and sounds like an annoying little ginger in a school boy suit. Should be a good fight now that Groves has clearly gotten under Froch's skin. Genuine animosity.

                      Groves suit was class.

Unlike when he was on ringside with degale.
