A convincing win would open the world to Groves. All sorts of fights would make sense. I reckon that if I where his promotor, I'd match him against a domestic rival like DeGale, Murray or maybe Macklin.

I cannot see him getting a fight with Stieglitz. Neither would want to travel for the kind of money that fight would generate. If Kessler continues his career, which I dont hope, such a fight would make a lot of sense. They've sparred and that would give a storyline and the Froch win would ensure a huge danish interest in that fight.

Ward is out of the question IMO. Hearn would never send Groves over the Atlantic as a new champion.

This is all conjecture because Groves will be stuck in a wheelchair after the Froch fight.

He may even die in there.

It is all conjecture, Naps. Just looking at unlikely scenarios that could happen after an upset.

Unfortunately some can't read the first sentence which states that (not you).

I like both fighters so not that bothered who wins. Just want a classic bout.

But there's been bigger upsets in my 40 years of watching fights so I don't discount anything.

Well Groves definitely showed us several levels above what he's shown so far.

absolutely. He looked calm, composed and very powerful. He again showed the ability to stick to his (very good) gameplan on the big occasion

In other threads I said Groves' stamina was poor though, and i think thats what killed him in the end (other than the random stoppage)

Froch starts off boxing with Groves, both men land good shots but Groves lands the better and controls the fight. In the first few rounds he [Groves] lands the better shots and shows off a nice jab, Froch begins to warm up.

It's the midway point and Groves has a case to be winning the fight, either way it's close. This is where Froch starts to leave Groves behind, his persistence is tiring Groves out and he's starting to feel the Cobra's pressure.

Groves goes from putting on a good display to getting stopped in a few rounds, 'round the 8th/9th round. Froch smelt blood a round or two ago and Groves finally succumbs to an unrelenting barrage of punches.

I can see Froch catching a few big right hands though, it'll be a battle but it's just Groves' resistance stopping it from being a war.
              You called it almost perfectly.

Clearly you got it all very wrong and know nothing about boxing.
