i thought so at first but let think about this he could have went down from a bodyshot at any time and stayed down. I think he knew before he got in the ring he was finished and just wanted a last payday why else Warren did not put him on his show. Arthur must be laughing out loud

does anybody think Ricky Burns will beat Arthur this guy is no mug and can box

I watched that fight live and he definatley threw that ****ing fight!

One major bookmaker had suspended betting on the bout after a flurry of betting on a mid-fight McDonagh knockout win.

Nah I just think Gomez lost heart & decided **** this for a laugh! It was a pretty high tempo fight & Gomez didn't look to be getting the desired result as McDonagh was always firing back. I saw an article on this & here is Gomez' short answer to the fix accusations:

Gomez said: "It just came to me in the middle of the fight that I didn't want to do this any more - I decided there and then to give up boxing.

"I was winning every round but I don't know what happened to me. All this stuff about bets is not true. All I do know is I am definitely not coming back.

"It could have happened at any time, when I was out walking the dog, or playing with the kids, but it just happened to me in the middle of a fight."

I know you don't expect him to admit to anything but I really don't think it was a fix.
As for Burns, he has a great chance against Arthur, fingers crossed he can pull it off, if not it'll no doubt be a good learning fight for him & he'll come back stronger just as Arthur has done.
