Despite its quality and significance, the Darren Barker v Daniel Geale MW championship fight seems to be slipping right under the radar.
Some bright spark thought grubby/sleezy Atlantic City was the best place to stage a big fight between a Brit and an Aussie.....rather than somewhere illogical/random like Manchester, London, Melbourne or Sydney where nobody would turn-up. Apparently, Anglo-Australian contests never draw crowds and always lack passion.
Piss-poor choice of venue and personal grumble aside...is anyone picking Barker and if yes, then why?
I am staying on the fence. I like Barker and think if he's fully-fit and goes for it, then he's got a chance. But Geale seems to know how to win fights and has the better top-level experience.
