From the 80's til the mid 90's I used to love buying this weekly paper. In the pre internet days it was the best place to get the LATEST boxing results.
And by latest I mean 1 to 2 weeks old
But that was still better than the US mags which were up to three months out of date (although I still bought them all).
When I started reading the late, great Harry Mullan was the editor (maybe the papers peak years).
I've tried looking at getting it sent over to the States but the cost is just ridiculous.
Anyway, I just wanted to share how much this publication meant to me back in the day. Wintery Friday nights before the pub meant reading Boxing News in a hot bath, with a fat spliff & 4 cans of Kronenburg 1664.
(p.s. I am suffering from Manflu & getting all sentimental before I die)
