  • British PPV in US

I payed for the PPV of Williams and Harrison out here in the states. I have to admit it,I loved the broadcast. It is very refreshing to hear an announcer express his opinions and tell the truth. The announcers said what they felt, and didn't waver from their opinions. That is quite refreshing. The freaking guys on HBO are blatant in their support of whoever is their guy.

I very much enjoy how the fighters show respect in interviews as well. The whole "me" attitude of athletes in the US gets very tired. Overall, a class show.

Every show over here is like that. Obviously the boxing is usually a million times better though

Most of the boxing over here in the UK is on Skysports or ITV.

ITV is free all of the time and Skysports is a monthy fee although this includes a whole package, the vast majority of fights are free with the odd exception of the likes of Hatton, Hamed, Lewis etc which are PPV.

The commentators tend to be ex boxers who are honest and critical of whoever is fighting, if a boxer has attitude they tend to lose popularity over here as Brits tend to like grounded people i.e Ricky Hatton, although Hamed did OK?
