David Price vs. Sam Sexton set for May 19

David Price - Sam Sexton is now confirmed for May 19.

    http://www.***************.net/2012/...-may-19th.html

David Price is set to gain home advantage for his upcoming battle with Sam Sexton as the two heavyweights clash for the British title vacated by Tyson Fury on May 19th in Liverpool.

Frank Maloney took the purse bid last week and has moved swiftly to give his number one fighter a home bout as the unbeaten Olympian looks to win the Lonsdale belt in his 13th fight.

Sexton, 27, came through his last fight against Larry Olubamiwo on points after a nasty cut halted the bout in the fifth round and the Norwich man will challenge for the title a second time following a loss to Dereck Chisora in 2010.

28 year-old Price makes his American debut in Atlantic City next month as he takes on Josue Blocus at the Resorts Hotel and Casino and Sexton may now plan a warm-up fight before his battles the undefeated Liverpudlian.

It's good to see Price is remaining active, instead of just waiting until May for his fight with Sexton.

The Sexton-Price fight will be in Liverpool. I don't know the venue for sure, but it will likely be at The Olympia.

David Price is finally staying active. Thank god.

I think he is the best Heavyweight prospect currently boxing.

It's good news, I dont think its been his fault mind.
            Victim of his own ability.
The only problem I see is what's between where he is and the brothers?

Looking forward to this one. Price is the clear favourite but Sexton should give him a good scrap.

I just wonder what happens after Price and Fury both win their next fights. Dimitrenko could be European champ, I wonder who if either would take him on?

Well that would be a nice easy way for Vitali to sign off from boxing. Not as much interest or money to fight one of those guys as he'd get with one of the top British boxers. It would ensure he retired on a win though.

I jst read David Price has been taken off the March 24 card in the US.

Mike Perez vs. Darnell Wilson has been added to that Atlantic City card, which will also have Wach-Fields and Szpilka-Marbra.
