Throwing alot of punches is important in the amatuers in the pros "effective" punches count more. The challenger chased the champ all over the ring and made the match a fight. He easily controled the action and initiated it throughout the fight. The champ was a mover however he also "ran" alot and that should never be witnessed when your supposed to be a high level boxer. This is another fighter who can't or simply won't pull the trigger and look to wear his opponent down, he waits an waits, then the fights over and he actually thinks he won? Another guy who is raised on hitting hand mitts and looks like Sugar Ray Robinson doing it except Sugar Ray never used that crap as a main ingredient in his training and only very few fighters actually bring that technique into their fights. Mostly a bunch of nothing, to help pump up a fighter, a waste of time!
The NEW champ won and it wasn't close at all! The more talented athlete lost but the better fighter won. Dump 75% of the time wasted on hand pads and go the heavy bag and learn how to use your body with your punch so you can break down your opponents desires. This can become a world of wills most times and running away just doesn't cut unless you can make the guy miss 95% of the time. You fight to take it, and you fight to keep it! Ray
