  • Does Jan Zaveck....

Have ANY chance of knocking off Berto? I have never seen him fight, dont know much about the guy. Just wondering??

His right hand is powerful enough to score a knockout. And his timing is pretty good too. He'll need to hurt Berto early though to win the fight.

If he brings the pressure that he used in the second half of his title defense against Jackiewicz, he has a fighting chance of hurting Berto and possibly pulling out a victory. If he lets up and tries to box he's done for. I seriously doubt there will be a knockout in this fight.

As far as I know, Zavec's never been on the canvas, so I don't think Andres power is too much to be worried about. However, his speed is going to come as a huge surprise to Dejan. Zavecs only got Aydin and Jackiewicz to spar with in camp, and he's going to do a week or so with Joel Julio once he lands in America before the fight. Decent sparring, but not good enough to prepare for Berto.

No matter who the winner is, Mayweather should fight them in an effort to unify the WW division.

That should be the first step in Mayweather's gambit to hold all of the cards.

Yes, he's better technically than Berto and more disciplined. He's got a better punch variety than Berto and good speed and power. Berto might punch harder, (maybe) but Zaveck is a tough smart pro who eats one dimensional fighters like Berto for lunch.

Expect a Kotelnik/Alexander type schooling with perhaps a k.o by Zaveck. Berto is nothing.
