Magee to defend against Takaloo

Eamonn Magee will defend his WBU welterweight on December 3 in London.
Belfast man Magee will make the second defence of the belt against Londoner Takaloo, who came to Belfast two years ago and knocked out Jim Rock.
Takaloo was defending his light-middleweight title at the Odyssey Arena but will step down a division to take on Magee on the supporting bill to the big heavyweight clash between Danny Williams and Matt Skelton.
It had been hoped that Magee would have a defence in Belfast with Amir Khan on the bill but promoter Frank Warren will now seek to put on such a show in the New Year.
Warren said: "I think it's a cracking fight between two men who are noted punchers," said Warren.
"We are just waiting on Takaloo putting pen to paper but I don't think there should be a problem."
This latest defence continues Magee's remarkable comeback from a street attack last year, which left him hospitalised.
Now coach John Breen wants to see him push on towards a higher level.
"We know what to expect from Takaloo - he will come trying to knock Eamonn out but we'll be ready" said Breen.
"This is a big chance for Eamonn to put on a good performance and hopefully this can be a platform for him to go on to even bigger fights.
"Eamonn's world class and with all due respect to Takaloo I don't think he is. I want to see Eamonn given the chance to prove that he can match up to the very best in the world. I don't care who Frank Warren puts him in with, Eamonn has the ability to handle it."
Well it's not definite but hopefully this will come off as it's a really intriuging fight, so many different scenarios to take into consideration and hard to pick a winner. Nice bill if it happens.
