I think Witter SHOULD blow him out of there but its hard to say with any Witter fight, it just depends on which Witter turns up to fight.

I consider this a step up in class for Witter, except for the Ndou win which was OK. That says a lot considering Colin Lynes is just an average fighter who struggles at British level.

Witter better make a big step up after Lynes or i'll forever brand him a bum, remember this fight is less than a month after Cotto vs Torres, so he must have been at a decent weight and in decent condition when he turned Cotto down.
Witter didnt turn down Cotto, Cotto didnt want to fight him and neither does anyone else thats why he has had to fight limited opposition. For example Witter would knock out Maussa anyday, but Hatton is going to fight him.

Witter has been calling out Hatton for ages now, but Hatton has been to worried to fight him because there's no one else in the division with his explosive power or complicated style.

You only have to read what Witter said to know he turned down the Cotto fight, he said in HIS WORDS it was offered but at too short notice SO HE TURNED IT DOWN.

Witter was offered Pinto, Magee, Krivolapov, Cotto, etc, etc and he turned them all down, i wouldnt mind but only Cotto and Magee are decent, the other two are nothing a good fighter should worry about.

Witters happy fighting bums, there are so many decent fighters at in and around 140 and your telling me none of them will fight him?? I'm not looking for elite opponents yet, just solid fighters from 147/140/135 like Corley, Tackie, M'baye, Diaz, Lazcano, Harris, Magee, Phillips, Urkal etc, etc, even Henry Bruseles would do!!

And Lynes is one lucky man, we all score fights differently but I thought he lost to both Sarmiento & Gallardo and he was beaten on a tko by A Malinga (Think it was Patrick but can't be sure, there's so many of em!) so Witter's really scraping the barrell with this one but your right about Sarmiento he's a real awkward bastard so Lynes knows all about the tricky fellas but as I say he lost that one for me and Witter hits a good bit harder than Sarmiento. There's no one in Britain at 140 to match Witter apart from Hatton so to build off the Ndou win he should be looking for a top 10 ranked, respected opponent to push his claim for some sort of title shot but this is one of these dangerous treading water fights where guys can get caught out by being complacent or whatever, can't see it happeneing here though.
I've never been impressed with Colin Lynes, he's too amateur for the Pro's, he only seems to know the straight shots.

I wish Witter would fight someone soon, i've even emailed him and asked him to step it up. His ability can handle elite fighters but mentally i think he's limited, he's been ducking since the Judah loss, which IMO was a close fight and i would have thought he'd build from it but its totally the oposite, he's learnt the avoid dangerous fighters.

Witter's the type of fighter who looks amazing on the bags in the gym but throw him into a fight and he's not got the heart.

Iwatched Witter fight N'Dou (or somthing like that) the other day, and was not impressed at all.

Hes got power and that Naz-like style, but like Naz he was lazy, loaded up with big shots only to miss (at one point falling over) and kept getting caught because his defence was so low.

If he fought in a more orthadox way he would be good. But we've seen it all before with naz, and he will get beaten by a classy boxer or knocked out by a big puncher.

Witter doesn't really interest me to be honest. I only like to watch Calzaghe, Hatton and Amir Khan from Pakistan. Everyone else doesn't tickle my fancy.

Danny Williams is okay. Cant wait for the Williams-Skelton match.
