Cook gave up the belt when he became Chi's mandatory, I guess he gave up the European as well, bit of a gamble but him and his team are obviously confident.

I hadn't even heard that he'd given up his European belt!
With the amount of bogus/crappy champions there are in the other weight divisions, poor Nicky Cook has got a real hard bastard champion - IN JIN CHI to rip the belts away from.
I'm only guessing he's given up the European since he's definitely given up the British, even though Chi came to Manchester he doesn't seem like the sort who'll want to defend abroad, he seems quite happy fighting at home so that makes it even harder for Cookie and I give him credit for not sitting on those belts, he could easily have made a few defences & earned some bread (which is what I think he should have done!) top marks for wanting the real thing, though if Chi destroys him he's nothing to fall back on (If he has actually given up all the belts that is!) Chi was given real trouble by Sugama not long ago so the time may be right for Cook to spring an upset.
