yeah defnatley, hes number one contender so he should be a tough first defence for burns. Hopefully burns can have another great win
I think the opposite, to be honest. He's actually only the number three contender with the WBO, but even that doesn't indicate much. Boxrec have him at number 54 in the division - whilst Boxrec is flawed, it gives you a better indication of his quality than the WBO ratings.
I don't know anything about Evensen either, but if it reminds me of anything it's the Khan - Salita fight (first defence, obscure opponent who has a good rating by the sanctioning organisation and very poor rating everywhere else). Who knows, maybe Evensen is brilliant (if you don't know who he is you can't write him off) but I think this will be a one sided "first defence" stopgap type fight which won't really tell us much.

burns isstcuk between 2 stacked weigh classes at world level. The FW dicision is deep n got great boxers, n so as the LW division. theres no real BIG fights for burns at SFW
Burns controlled most of the fight and looked comfortable. I still think Burns has a few holes in his game, sometimes he gets a little wild in there at times, which could be fatal at the top! I can only suggest Burns trys to get a crack to unify the division, it's something he is capable of doing.
Overall Burns looked impressive but a step up in competition is needed in his next fight, as he will dominate novice contenders, so it'd be a waste of time to fight them. Burns has choices so it's up to him where he wants to go from here.
